A changing climate is causing significant damage and threatening public well-being around the world. How climate change affects natural resources and communities in the 21st century will depend on current greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, so reducing them is a key challenge. To determine the contribution of human activities to climate change, we perform GHG emission calculations in accordance with the recommendations of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. In cooperation with scientists, we carry out climate change risk assessment, identify possible adaptation measures, perform their economic evaluation and prepare climate change adaptation plans.
